Seamen’s Society Proudly Opens New 3K and UPK Program

Staten Island, NY, AUGUST 22, 2024 – Seamen’s Society is thrilled to announce the grand opening of its brand-new facility in St. George, Staten Island. The space is set to provide exceptional early childhood education to local families. Open registration for the new 3K and UPK seats is now open through September 4, 2024 and the program is accepting vouchers. Enrollment will be ongoing until all seats are filled. The school year will run from September 5, 2024 to June 26, 2025 and will offer full day programming.
The new preschool, located at 95 Central Avenue, is designed to offer a nurturing and stimulating environment for Staten Island’s young learners. The Seamen’s Society’s preschool will be dedicated to fostering creativity, critical thinking, and social-emotional development for our students entering the school system. The new facility features spacious classrooms and indoor play areas all designed to enhance the learning experience for students.
“We are incredibly excited to open our doors to the families of St. George,” said Felicia Soodeen, Vice President of Programs. “Our goal is to create a space where children feel safe, valued, and inspired to learn. We believe that the early years are critical for creating a foundation of life long learning and we are committed to providing the highest quality education to our students.”
President and CEO of Seamen’s Society, David W. Gaskin, added, “We invite everyone in the community to come and tour our preschool, meet our dedicated educators, and support the growth and development of our students.”
